Edward Lance Proctor Jr, Aged 76 passed away on Sunday September 10, 2017. Born on February 3, 1941 to the late Edward L. Proctor and Margaret Croom Proctor. Preceded in death by his sister Barbara P. Proctor. Edward “Sonny Boy” leaves behind his loving wife Elaine Ann Szarafin Proctor, His three sons Lance Proctor, Daniel Proctor and Derek Proctor. His three grandchildren Kelley Boyette, Hallie Proctor and Chase Proctor. He is also survived by his siblings Richard “Dickie” Proctor, Michael “Mickey” Proctor, Thomas “Tommy” Proctor, Theresa “Sister” Williford and LeStevia Ann “Lee Ann” Hodges. Edward proudly served in the United States Navy and earned an Associate Degree in Business management and Wilson Technical Community College. Edward worked at Rocky Mount Mills, Firestone and was a self-employed handy man. A Visitation will be help on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services.   1. I remember Eddie being so handsome in navy uniform with a sheepish grin. He was clearly so in love with my cousin Elaine. He was fun and kind to me and my young siblings, and I still remember his excitement when he and Elaine were expecting Lances arrival. So after many years, I still appreciate the love and smiles. northern cousin Maureen.
