NASHVILLE – Elaine Parker, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Born in Wilson County, NC on May 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert Russell Etheridge and Gladys Lamm Etheridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Parker; brother James Etheridge; and her favorite aunt, Annie Doris Keel.
Elaine had a love for all animals, especially her dogs, Roxie and Bear. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, with her fried chicken being a family favorite. Elaine, a very unique and loving mother, loved taking adventures, especially trips to White Lake, fishing trips, and going to the state fair. She could often be found at the racetrack with her husband and best friend. Above all, she just loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. She made a difference in the life of everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter.
Elaine is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo Page (Mike), Janet and Eric Earp, and Deborah Midkiff (Ricky); her grandchildren, Sarah Williford (Bryan), Karah and Jamie Glover, Peyton Midkiff, Savannah Hope McCullen, Kyle and Kelsey Marshall, Kamren McCullen (Dru), Justin Marshall (Linda), Emma and Jonathan Stallings, and Matthew Marshall; her great-grandchildren, Leeland, Julien, Braxton, Brynlee, Adriana, and Levi; and her sisters, Lela Gail Etheridge, Deborah Stancil, and Linda Etheridge Johnson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with a visitation with the family following the service.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Bondy and his care team of Boice Willis Clinic in Nashville, for providing great care to Elaine for many, many years.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mama was very special to me and my mama and she will always have a place in my heart. I am going to miss our long talks, laughter and tears but I know she is not in pain any longer. She is in heaven with Herman, the love of her life. God bless you all may she rest in peace.
