Elma Pecheles

GREENVILLE - Elma D. Pecheles, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Born in Onslow County, NC on May 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank Cyrus Dawson and Edna Deal Dawson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pecheles; her sons, Joseph "Dana" Pecheles and infant son, David Pecheles; 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Elma and her husband, Joe, founded Joe Pecheles Volkswagen in Greenville in July 1965 after moving from Rocky Mount. Elma is survived by her son, Brian L. Pecheles and wife, Suzanne of Greenville; her grandson, Joseph Brian Pecheles and wife, Missy of London, England; her sister, Charlotte Dawson Lane of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Private Family Graveside Service to celebrate Elma's life will be held at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Bob Hudak officiating.
