“Granny” welcomed me in with open arms at a time I needed someone to help guide me and she took time with me to watch the Walton’s and to teach me quilting. I have a lot of memories with her but my favorite is quilting my grandma a quilt. My other is her staying up til midnight this year and ringing in the new year with her 💗 She taught me a simpler way of life and her legacy will never be forgotten by me.
My Great Aunt Elnora was the kindest woman. She always made me feel so welcome! I have so many memories making mud pies with cousins at her house, chasing guinea hens, eating yummy meals! She had the best hugs and the sweetest smiles. Since we lost Nanny every time i hugged her we both just had tears. I know Nanny was there at Heavens gates waiting for her. We will miss her so much!
I thank Granny for spending time and sharing her love of quilting with my daughter, Heidi. Heidi has been able to make several meaningful quilts for her family.
With love and respect,
Jill Moye
