NASHVILLE – Elvis R. Norman, age 55, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Born in Washington, NC on September 3, 1971, he was the son of the late Collis Norman, Sr. and Emma Bell Spruill Norman. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Tony Spruill, and Collis Norman, Jr.
A devoted man of faith, he faithfully served as a deacon at Deliverance Temple, anchoring his life in spiritual service and love for others.
Elvis was a gentle soul whose mission was to make people smile. He loved helping his community, famously bringing joy and goods to neighbors through his unique “store on wheels.” Whether he was lending a hand, sharing a laugh, or enjoying the great outdoors fishing and hunting, Elvis lived life with a generous heart.
He cherished quality time with family and friends, and always enjoyed winding down with a good action movie. Elvis leaves behind a legacy of boundless kindness, faith, and community devotion.
Elvis is survived by his daughter, Lashanna Norman; son, Donte R. Norman; fiancé, Ida White; grandson, Deante Leon Watson; stepfather, Thomas Rodman; sisters, Priscilla Honablew, Martha Norman, Mary Norman; sister-in-law, Ajulio Norman; aunts, Carrie Norman, Elnora Spruill, Sandra Spruill; uncle, Pastor Ronald Spruill (Carol); mother-in-law, Betty Sessoms; best friend who was like a brother, Gene Speller, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
