Rocky Mount - Eunice Otella Taylor Landin, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Born in Pitt County, NC on November 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Louis and Anna Ketcham Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James L. Everette and Albert Landin, daughter Anna Kathryn Everette and eight siblings.
Eunice leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Donald Everett and Samuel Everette. She is also survived by three granddaughters; Anita Smith, Melinda Everett and Julie Williams and four great granddaughters.
Eunice grew up and raised her family on a tobacco farm, working alongside her husband in the fields. Later she became a wonderful artist. She painted and crocheted, made needlepoint and pottery. Her family also remembers her delicious food as art work. Eunice won ribbons at her country fairs for her baking.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Arlington Street Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount. Burial at 2:30 PM at Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain, NC. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
