Evelyn Bryant Acreman, age 80, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 4, 2018. She is survived by two sons, Charles Evans, Michael Evans, a daughter, Gail Mason and husband Larry, six beautiful grandchildren, dear nieces, and loving friends. She is preceded in death by three husbands, each one she dearly loved until each respectively passed on. Evelyn is also preceded in death by one son, Cleveland Tippette, and several sisters.
Evelyns life was always filled with joy and inspiration for others. She put others first in her everyday life, because that was loving and self-sacrificing mother and grandmother that she was. Evelyns greatest symbol of love and happiness was shown in her radiant smile and heartfelt laughter.
Evelyn wanted everyone to remember her the way she lived her life, not how she spent her remaining days. The casket is closed and although her physical presence is here; her soul has risen to Heaven to be with God the Father. Her motherly images are carefully and respectfully displayed so that all can see the happiness she experienced while here on this earth.
Her Life:
Evelyn was born and raised in rural Nash county, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents Columbus Bryant and mother Maude Lee. She graduated from Southern Nash High school. Evelyn married shortly after graduation and devoted the first part of her life being a devoted wife and raising her children. Later, she was employed by Quincys, followed by K W, where she worked for several years before retirement. Evelyns greatest pastimes were reading books, watching FOX news, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was undeniably a humble woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. Evelyns favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas, because those holidays were a time for family gatherings This year, Evelyn will be spending Christmas in heaven, and we already know she has received the best present of all-eternal life with her heavenly father.
All who gather to remember Evelyn and celebrate her life are welcome to attend a memorial supper immediately following visitation at the home of her daughter. The address is 6141 Dortches Blvd. Food has been graciously prepared and provided by devoted members of Southside Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and deepest gratitude for all expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement.

We will all miss her!! Love ya Nana!
My heart broke this week when I heard the news. I met Ms. Evelyn several years ago when she and my Papa, Troy Proctor became friends. Papa & Evelyn lived about a block apart and shared a wonderful loving and caring friendship for many years. She would cook a wonderful meal each Sunday and made sure she always took him a plate. They checked on each other everyday. You could always find them either sitting on Papas front porch talking, laughing and watching the traffic pass by or spending time together at Evelyns home and loving on her precious furbaby, Nina. Ms Evelyn was truly an Angel living among us and was loved dearly by everyone whose lives and hearts she touched. She was a very hardworking lady and there wasnt much that she couldnt do. Evelyn may you now rest in peace & rejoice with God and the Angels in Heaven and know that you were loved dearly by Papa, Mama and Me. I look forward to the day that we will be together again and share a love and friendship that will never end. God bless you sweet lady Mom and I can rest easy now that we know you made it safely HOME.
