George Albert Wadsworth

George A. Wadsworth, age 81, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on November 22, 1934, he was the son of the late William and Ida Wadsworth. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Wadsworth, son, Charles Albert Wadsworth, brother, Roosvelt Wadsworth and sister, Eula Mae Summerlin.
George leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters, Edna Faye Ellerbe, Linda Pearl White (Tony), Janice Alford (Kenny) and family friend Lori Little. He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers; William and Edward Wadsworth and sister; Mattie Pigg.
George loved his family church Speight Chapel Church.
A visitation will be held on Thursday October 13, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

I didnt know Mr. Wadsworth, but had the pleasure of teaching his sweet daughter, Linda many years ago at North Edgecombe High School. Mr. Wadsworth must have been a wonderful person because his daughter Linda is one of the sweetest, nicest, people I have ever known. Rest in Peace. Sincerely, Donna Adams-Clayton
