George Thomas Boulden, Sr.

ROCKY MOUNT – George Thomas Boulden, Sr., passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on January 22, 1941, he was the son of the late George Louis Boulden and Beulah Boulden Price. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Jean Wood. George leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for his family that includes his wife of 36 years, Donna Moore Boulden; his daughters, Laura Boulden Jackson and husband, Alex, of Holly Springs, and Amy Boulden Sugg and husband, Greg, of Cary; his son, Tommy Boulden, of Nashville; his grandchildren, Amanda Sugg, Emily Sugg, and Everett Jackson; his sister, Nancy Aycock, of Louisburg; his sister-in-law, Theresa Moore, of Bailey; along with several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow the service in the Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service in the parlor of Johnson Funeral Home. The family would like to say a special thanks to our Englewood Baptist Church family for your prayers and support during this time as well as Community Hospice and Amada Home Health Services for their compassionate care.   5. George and Donna sat on the row behind us in Sunday School, at EBC, for many years. George also accompanied me, Larry, on the route picking up children to attend ESL classes offered by EBC, during the summer months. He had such a servants heart. He was a quiet and humble man and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family🙏❤️.
