Janie Griffin Peel

Janie G. Peel, age 85, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019. Born in Martin County, NC on July 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Marion James and Maude Leggett Griffin. Janie leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Paul Peel, daughters, Janet P. Scott of Greenville, NC and Pamela P. Spell and husband, Louis C. Spell of Greenville, NC. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Dr. Emmi P. Scott of Charleston, SC and one grandson, H. Copeland Spell of Raleigh, NC. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Christian Church Rocky Mount with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts may be made to the Agape Village Foundation which supports the Agape Village Orphanage in Zambia, Africa.
