Jerry Steven Parker

BURLINGTON– Steven Parker, age 72, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on March 7, 1952, he was the son of the late Norman Clifton Parker and Rachel Bissette Parker. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Parker, brothers, Michael Parker, and Kenneth Parker.
Steven was a God-fearing man. He was a long-time member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. Steven was a true image bearer of Christ and a beacon of light and hope for all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed. Steven will always be remembered with love and kindness. Above all, his most cherished memories will be those spent with his family.
Steven is survived by his nephew, Alexander Graham Summers (Kelley), and his sister Billie Raye Evans.
Services will be private.

I remember when I was younger and I just moved in my uncle Steven and grandma. And Steven would go to work (special needs) at textile shop. Grandma would feed him like a really big dinner (separate from us). And when he was done he would go to the tv room and watch wheel of fortune and be asleep by the next show. And you know when he was asleep. He could snore. Boy, could he snore. He was my best friend. Gone but never forgotten.
