John Bunnie "Bunk" Coley

CASTALIA - John Bunnie ‘Bunk" Coley, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 30 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on April 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Oather and Minnie Coley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Willie Gray Coley; and his sister, Irene Coley Pierce. Bunk worked most of his life in the fields farming for others and logging business. Bunk is survived by many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Forest Hills Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Coley officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting the need for social distancing and wearing of masks due to health concerns faced around our nation at this time.
