Johnny Harold Harris

ROCKY MOUNT - Johnny Harold Harris, age 78, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born in New Hanover County, NC on October 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Johnnie Preston Harris and Cleo Bissette Harris. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marie Pittman; and his brother, Rusty Harris. Johnny had a great love for the outdoors. He could be found in his down time doing yardwork, working on lawnmowers, or down at the water fishing. Johnny loved watching NASCAR and was a fan of Dale Earnhart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Johnny is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Creech Harris; his daughters, Tricia Sharpe, of Black Creek, Lisa Horne and her husband Jeff, of Elm City, and Melissa Williamson and her husband Eric, of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Jonathan Harris, B.J. Stell, Jeffrey Horne, Jr., Melanie Horne, Kimberly James, Christian Williamson, and Haven Williamson; his great-grandchildren, Bridget, Collin, Caleb, Elle, Preston, Sutton, Noah, Carter, Skylar, Paxton, Greyson, and Kyndall; and his brother, Freddie Harris, of Florida.
