ROCKY MOUNT – Johnny Richard Murray, age 59, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on February 17, 1965, he was the son of the late Steven Murray and Jennifer Clarey Addington. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Addington.
Johnny was a self-employed concrete specialist. He enjoyed gaming on the computer, ranking in the upper 5 in the world. Johnny loved grilling and preparing meals for his family and going to Atlantic Beach. He enjoyed every single day and never met a stranger.
Johnny is survived by his life partner, Toni Davis; his son, Johnny Murray, Jr.; his daughters, Jennifer Murray and Christina Perry; his brothers, Ernest Addington, Jr., and Timothy Addington; and his stepfather, Ernest Addington.
Services will be private.

I played World of Tanks with Johnny and had some great times playing in the HECKD clan, I am now part of one of his other clans, WACKD, my game name is BudgetBrawler. He recently invited me to join. He was a very helpful man and tried to give support to all the players in his various clans. I am from Canada, but the border was not important. Johnny is the same age as me and we did quite well, actually he did alot better, He was the best. My condolences and sympathies to all of his family.
Grew up with Johnnie on Northern Hills. Lots of fun days spent together. RIP Old Friends. Prayers to his family.
