Joshua Gregory Moore

October 7, 2002 ~ April 9, 2022

BATTLEBORO - Joshua Gregory Moore, age 19, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Born in Pitt County, NC on October 7, 2002, he was the son of Gregory and Samantha Moore. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Diane Moore; his paternal grandmother, Lois Moore; his uncle, Richie Moore; and his cousin, Keith Gibson. Joshua was a servant of God with a pure heart. He was a giving, loving, and compassionate person that spent his time making sure that everyone he met was taken care of by putting a smile on their face. Joshua loved crafts and was a true artist. He loved to draw and paint and sold his items online. Joshua was a performer, he loved to entertain people either in a play or with his comedic side. Joshua dedicated more than 12 years to his personal passion - helping local needy children and teens in his surrounding communities at Christmas time. This young man, although dealing with many struggles throughout his life, has such a huge Servant Heart full of love and compassion for others, especially children and teens. Years ago, he told his mom and dad that he wanted to help children less fortunate than he to have a wonderful Christmas. Joshua's Toy Drive was created, and it took off from there, as he made this toy drive his personal ministry through which he has touched so many. In 2021 Joshua's Toy Drive, through monetary donations and toys collected, was able to help over 500 needy families at Christmas in Joshua's surrounding community. Throughout Joshua's life he never stopped fighting through his tribulations and always did it with a smile on his face. Joshua will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten as he was everything to his family. To know him was to love him. Along with his parents Joshua is survived by, his paternal grandparents, Calvin and Anita Moore, of Battleboro; his aunt, Terry Saint, of Battleboro; his uncles, Thomas Moore, of Rocky Mount and Joseph Moore, of Windsor; his cousins, Ivey (Tony) Tadlock and Travis Moore; his second cousins, Cole, Chase, Collin and Carson; and many more extended family and friends.
