NASHVILLE– Larry Winfred Barnes, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on October 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Kelly Barnes and Ruby Batchelor Barnes Baines.
Larry was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and was always found cheering them on. He loved watching cowboy movies, and swimming in the pool, but loved his time relaxing on the porch. He was a family man, and extremely proud of his children, grandchildren, and his great-grandchild. He loved nothing better than spending time with them. He made a difference in the life of everyone who knew him and he leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter.
Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Adcox Barnes, of Nashville; his daughters, Kim Hearn, and husband, Chad, of Battleboro, Ashley Bragg, and husband, Michael, of Nashville; his grandchildren, Chase Hearn, Kaylee Hearn, Ty Bragg and Kyleigh Bragg; one great-grandchild, Ezra King; and two loyal companions, Gabbi and Bella.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Nash Hospice and Palliative Care – 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
Services will be private.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss! I enjoyed seeing Larry years ago when he was delivering to job sites! We have so many great memories of our husbands. Prayers for you and your family!
