Lynn Stapleton Vick

ROCKY MOUNT – Lynn Stapleton Vick, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born in Mitchell County, NC on November 30, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Stapleton and Evelyn Dale Stapleton.

Lynn passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories.

Lynn enjoyed reading, visiting the beach, and exploring the historic lighthouses along the North Carolina coast. She loved traveling to Williamsburg, Virginia, visiting the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia, and sharing trips with her beloved husband, especially to explore Civil War history. Spruce Pine, North Carolina, always remained close to her heart, and she treasured every visit back home.

Above all, Lynn’s greatest joy was her family. Her children were her world, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with them and creating memories they will cherish forever.

Lynn will be remembered for her kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Lynn is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles “Chuck” Vick, II,; sons, Sean Stapleton Vick, wife Carrie, Ethan Kirby Vick, wife Nicole; two grandsons, Anderson Vick, and Oliver Vick; and her beloved dachshund Caroline.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Rev. Shawn Crumley officiating. A visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM after the service in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
