Maria Ester Hernandez Ostorga

ROCKY MOUNT - Maria Ester Hernandez Ostorga, age 103, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Born in El Salvador on April 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Hernandez and Juana Ostorga. Maria was a kind hearted soul that loved to help anyone in need. Her home was like a refuge for anyone that needed help or a place to stay. Maria always had a smile on her face. Her love for preparing meals which would bring laughter and happiness to the table was always a cherished moment. She touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered with love and kindness. Maria is survived by her daughter, Blanca Jejurine of Rocky Mount; her son, Daniel Hernandez of Los Angeles, CA; her ten grandchildren; her 24 great-grandchildren; her sister, Jesus Hernandez of Los Angeles, CA; and her brother, Autonio Hernandez of El Salvador. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome.
