Mary Jones Acrey

ROCKY MOUNT – Mary Jones Acrey, age 93, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Born in Pitt County, NC on September 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Soloman Jones and Mary Lee Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, McCullen Acrey; daughter, Linda Rapoza; and sons, Roy Acrey, Stanley Acrey, Donnie Acrey, Steve Acrey and Tommy Acrey.

Mary was a devoted mother who loved her family with all her heart. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved and treasured every moment spent with them.

Known for her kind heart and gentle spirit, Mary was a faithful friend to many, always offering love, encouragement, and a helping hand. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Mary’s legacy of love, kindness, and friendship will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always.

Mary is survived by her son, Michael Wayne Acrey and wife Jacqueline; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
