Nannie Rhodes McCarter

Nannie R. McCarter, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. She was born in Nash County on April 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Emma Rhodes. She was also preceded in death by her husband J.J. “Red” McCarter. Nannie leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Trudy Brunson and husband Bill, son Dale McCarter and wife Rose. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Heather Griffin and husband Nathan, Jonathan Brunson and wife Pam, J.D. McCarter and wife Holly and Meagan Horton and husband John. Nannie also leaves behind several great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Saturday September 10, 2016 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Todd officiating, burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
