  1. You lived life on your terms and lived to make people laugh. I know my mom will miss those Bojangles breakfasts. Thank you for all those shopping trips when I was a kid. One more time just for you….one Sunday….when I was a child granny would not let us go shopping until the dishes were cleaned and put away. I told her to put those dishes under the house and let the chickens lick them. I thought that would get them cleaned so we could go to Roses. Rest in peace.

  2. Nub will be missed. I have a million memories of listening to her and my grandma Daisy Estelle Winstead interacting. Good times! Great country folks. Condolences to Ray and Debbie, her nephew and niece and others I didn’t know so well.

  3. I am blessed to have known you and to have the privilege of taking care of you your last day on earth. God has received another angel. You will be missed, Nub.

I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. I WILL MISS YOU, WHO WILL I CALL IN THE MORNING TO FIND OUT IF YOU ARE OK. TELL DADDY AND GRANNY I MISS THEM.

  8. Nub knew me all of my life. I remember her growing up and she always had a smile on her face and would have you laughing in on time. Just think she is now smiling and walking the Streets of Gold with God.
The family is certainly in my prayers. May God Bless each one of you.

  9. Momma told me yesterday Nub had passed. I’ve known her my whole life. She’d been a friend of the family forever. She was such a kindhearted woman, always smiling, always trying to make people laugh. She was a trip, if you know, you know. I love her! If you took up The Graphic you’d know that for many, many years she’d be the first to bring in the first cotton bloom, something she’d picked herself growing up. I can hear her now saying, “Julie, you know not!” I do believe “Hello Darlin’” was her favorite song and she’d often get me to tell Red Taylor to sing it for her when The Country Echos would play at various places. I’ve got to staring making time to give people I love their flowers while they’re living. Life is just too short. Take your rest, Nub. We will miss you down here.

  10. I will miss you my Dear Friend Nub. I have known Nub all my life. I remember when she would come to our house for Prayer meetings when I was a young girl. And go hear me and the group I sang with the Country Echoes sing and play music at various places. She always wanted to hear me sing Jesus Hold My Hand. I’m sure Jesus took your hand and welcomed you into Heaven. Love you and will miss you. Rest in Peace Nub.

  11. Sorry to hear of Nub’s passing. We always use to see her at Hardee’s or Bojangles and she would sit and talk to us for hours. sweet lady. RIP NUB

  12. My mother-in-love and I would see her in Bojangles, and we always spoke to each other. If I was by myself, she would always ask me about my Momma. She was my 2nd Momma for sure. I saw her not to long ago in Bojangles and yes, she asked me about Momma, and didn’t she pass away? I replied, “yes, June 5, 2023. She said, “I thought you told me she did. I sure did like her.” I told her, “We sure did like her too and it was always a pleasure talking to her.” She looked like she was doing fine, and she said she was doing fine as usual. I surely was not expecting to see this. I will miss her so much.

Rest in peace, Nub. Now you and Momma can have a good time catching up. It has been a while since you have seen each other.
