Patricia Campbell DeVore

ROCKY MOUNT – Patricia Campbell DeVore, age 80, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026. Born in Nash County, NC on August 21, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Poole Campbell, Jr. and Margaret Lee Herring. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Robert Terry Bennett, II, and Douglas Heath Bennett; and grandson, Ryan Craig Bobbitt.

Patricia was a loving, kind-hearted woman whose life was filled with family, faith, and simple joys. She loved baking and enjoyed sharing her homemade goods while selling them at the flea market. Her family especially treasured her delicious chew bread, which will always bring back sweet memories of her.

Patricia had a special love for flowers and gardening, finding joy in watching things grow and bloom. She loved all animals and held a special place in her heart for her beloved cat, Sweetie Pie.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished attending church and being part of her church family. Patricia also loved the beach, especially Atlantic Beach, where she enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of the ocean.

Patricia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Her kindness, faith, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Leisa Tickerhoof (Frank); grandchildren, Shane DeVore, Jarrett DeVore; great-grandchildren, Raiden DeVore, Loki DeVore, Penny DeVore; sister, Andrea Brown (Matt Brown); significant other, Chuck Mullis; and close-family friends, Earlene McGuinness, Dawn Bair, Janice Bulluck, Louise Peete, and Colleen Bowman.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, NC  27804.
