ROANOKE RAPIDS– Patsy Allen White, age 80, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Born in Durham County, NC on January 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Logan Allen and Callie Royal Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul Gaston White, Jr.; and her son, Paul Gaston White III.
Patsy was an actress and artist with a love for painting and needle point. She loved playing tennis and had a love for music. Patsy was also a great cook. Her family loved her sour crème pound cake, her chocolate-chocolate cake and her rich man mashed potatoes were to die for. She loved holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, because it celebrated the love of family and Christ. She will be deeply missed. She made a difference in the life of everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter.
Patsy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Allison White Lemaire and husband, D.J., of Red Oak; her grandchildren, Zachary Dalton Bullock and wife, Allison; Andrew Logan White and wife, Taylor, Graham Jackson White and wife, Ashley, Patrick Gaston White and wife, Crystal; and their mother, Jennifer White Young; her great-grandchildren, Mason, Emory, Grant, Maddox, Emily, Autrey and Decker Gaston; and her siblings, James Joseph “Joe” Allen, Charlie “Chuck” Logan Allen, Jr. and Bobby Jean Brownie.
A Celebration of Patsy’s Life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Gravely Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 100 South Church Street Rocky Mount, NC with Rev. Dr. David Joyner officiating. A visitation will follow the service.
