Paul G. Pierce Sr.

ROCKY MOUNT - Paul Glenn Pierce, Sr., age 59, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on April 26, 1962, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Irene Coley Pierce. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ann Rose Bradshaw; and his brother, James Pierce. Paul worked for Mitchell's Engineering for many years. His greatest accomplishment was his two boys, Paul, Jr. and Joseph. He loved spending time with his family, but especially his grandchildren. Paul will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He will be missed tremendously. Paul is survived by his sons, Paul Glenn Pierce, Jr. and wife, Tabitha, of Elm City, and Joseph Ronald Pierce and wife, Heather, of Dallas, Texas; his former wife and best friend, Rebecca Rose Gordon of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Pierce, Francisco Delacruz, Jaiden Diaz, Kylie Diaz, Piper Pierce and Jaxson Pierce; his sister, Beatrice Moore of Whitakers; his brothers, Joe Pierce of Battleboro and Daniel Pierce of Dortches; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting the need for social distancing and wearing of masks due to health concerns faced around our nation at this time.
