Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I always enjoyed talking to Robin on the radio. I will always remember Robin on a MS bike ride from Raleigh to the coast. We were providing radio support. While down in Columbia, Robin proved you can get on the radio from anywhere! May Gods Peace be with Robin and his family.

  2. Robin, YOU will be missed by me and your many ham radio friends;, the Tar River Amateur Radio Club, the American Red Cross, and the many others you have helped in your short life. You put up a great battle and fought it with gallantry ..;I am so saddened for loosing such a friend as you were through the years… May the Lord bless you and receive you in his Kingdom…. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family..

  3. I got to know Robin when I served as ARRL North Carolina Section Manager from 2010-2014. He brought an upbeat voice to the Tar Heel Emergency Net (THEN) from 730-800 PM nightly. Robin often checked in mobile, and he had a signal of which to be proud. I will always be grateful for his support of the Boy Scout Radio Merit badge. Heavens a more cheerful place with Robins presence. 73 de Bill Morine, N2COP

  4. Robin and I met each other through Ham Radio. Just such a smart and kind Gentlemen. Talked to him on the radio around April and as always was such an interesting friend. Was so sorry to hear of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with his Family. Rest in Peace!

  5. Sharing memories of Robin–I would be at a loss to know where to begin. He was very instrumental in helping me to launch my career in Computer Operations at Boddie-Noell. He had a way of driving home a point and still end up with that big grin on his face. He always struck me as an independent and someways private person. He respected other peoples wants and opinions, although he might not always agree with them. Even though conflicts often arise in the workplace, we always rose above them as friends and co-workers. He had talents in the computer field that probably few, if any, could match. I could detect his value of family and friends, also. This could be proved by a couple of occasions that I spent with them. Rest in peace, Big Guy. You will definitely be missed. Donald Alston –Long time friend and co-worker

  6. Beautiful, just beautiful; such a dear friend to so many, you certainly were to me a very long time ago. Rest in peace my dear friend, as I know you have reached your forever home. Gloria Smith

  7. Robin was my cousin and I have good memories of his family coming to the mountains to visit our grandmother. I lived close by and looked forward to Robins family visiting. As kids we always had a great time together playing and having a house full of uncles, aunts and cousins. My memories of Robin as a man are of someone who showed kindness to others, possessed a keen intellect and faced adversity with courage. I will miss Robin and send my sincere condolences to his wife and siblings.

  8. I have been friends with Robin for 36 years and he was always a special friend that I would do anything for, as he would for me, as well as others. He was always giving of his time and talents. He has left us too early. I will miss him dearly Barbara Owens
