ENFIELD - Rose W. Bellamy, age 82, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on December 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Shelton Bernice Smith and Alma Estelle Daniels Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Smith.
Everybody loved Mrs. Rose, they would come to the Bellamy Hardware Store just to confide in her, she was a good listener, counselor and friend to anyone that crossed her path. Rose was an avid shopper, she especially enjoyed her time with her sister Jean, they had many adventures not only as sisters, but as best friends. Nana Rose as affectionally known by all her grandchildren, loved family gatherings and going out to eat. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Nana Rose, sister and friend to all who knew her. To know Nana Rose was to love her and she will be missed by so many.
Rose is survived by her husband of 34 years, Phes Bellamy; her daughters, Gail Minchew and her husband, Jimmy, of Rocky Mount, Tracie Gay and her husband, Louis, of Red Oak; her step-daughters, Shannon McCollum and her husband, Scott, of Garner, and Frances Bellamy of Sharpsburg; her step-son, John Eli Bellamy and his wife, Jennifer, of Enfield; her grandchildren, J.R. Minchew, John Minchew, Jeff Minchew, Jesse Gay, Travis Gay, Logan McCollum, John Bradley Bellamy, Ashley Robinson, Haley Honeycutt and Dixie Kizzich; her great-grandchildren, David Minchew, Brooke Minchew, Connor Minchew, Madelyn Minchew, Joshua Minchew, Jerzee Bellamy and Kenzie Robinson; her sister, Jean Batts of Littleton; her sister-in-law Peggy Smith of Enfield; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery, 23 Justice Branch Road, Enfield NC, 27823 with Rev. Alvin Davis officiating.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may also be made in Rose's memory to Tabernacle Baptist Church in Enfield, 1742 Ringwood Road, Enfield, NC 27823.
