Ruth Allen Reges

Rocky Mount - Ruth Lenora Allen Reges, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Born in Johnston County, NC on May 9, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Della Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clay Reges, step-father Henry Howard Fields, sisters; Retha Wilson and Sally Smith and brother H.B. Allen. Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Harry Uriah Reges and wife Terry. She is also survived by grandsons, Garrett Clay Reges and Larry Douglas (DJ) Bryant and wife Julie, plus several nieces and nephews. Ruth was an avid reader and also loved yardwork, sewing and cooking. She loved people and enjoyed family get togethers and going to church at Proctors Chapel where she was a member. Mama will be truly missed by her family and friends, but we are so thankful she is at peace now and home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone at Nash Hospice Care, especially her nurse Letisha Richardson and caregiver Sabrina Daniels. Also a special thank you to our friend Cynthia Joyner. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Proctors Chapel. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
