Sarah Laura Irwin Czar

Rocky Mount - Sarah Laura Irwin Czar, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Born in Russia, NY on January 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Earl R. and Iva Jane Munn Irwin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor Czar; daughter, Sue Ann Czar; and 10 brothers and sisters. Sarah leaves behind to cherish her memory, 4 daughters, Lee Ann Kelley and husband, Tom Martone, Jo Ann Czar, Lu Ann Czar, Gay Czar Wood and husband Everette "Glenn" Wood Jr and 1 son, Victor Irwin Czar and wife Ann G. Czar. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Alice Truscello. Sarah was a loving wife and mother; she grew up in Cold Brook New York. She graduated from Poland Central School and worked for a short time at the local bank before marrying Victor Czar. Sarah was always caring for her family. She cared for her mother until she passed, raised 6 children and helped care for her grandchildren. Sarah was married to Victor over 49 years before his passing. Family members remember her as always smiling, and having fun with the children. She loved family reunions. We would gather regularly at her home to play cards and enjoy each other's company. Sarah was known for her sense of humor, her gardening, and her joy of cooking for others. She was a kind spirit and we loved her dearly. She will be missed. Memories from family and friends…..Loving, caring and a great sense of humor, Known for her smile and love of children, Enjoyed playing with them or just sitting and being with them, She always made them feel important, Easy to talk to, always made you feel comfortable and Enjoyed family gatherings, loved cooking and provided food, fun and fellowship.
