Rocky Mount - Sheila Kennedy Joyner, age 60, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019. Born in Nash County, NC on December 20, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stephen Joyner; and two sons, Scotty Ray Joyner and Andy Ray Joyner.
Sheila leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Robert Steven Joyner, Jr. (Crystal). She is also survived by her mother, Doris Kennedy Griffin, sister, Lisa Dickerson (Andy), brother, Wayne Griffin (Sandy), four grandchildren, Steven M. Joyner, Dillon L. Joyner, Haley Radford, Brooke Joyner, great-grandson, Tristan Ray Sykes; sister, Debra Edmondson, and several nieces and nephews.
Sheila enjoyed, yard selling, shopping at Goodwill, spending time with her family and reading her Bible. She was the best mama, sister and nana in the world.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Private burial.
