Theodosia I Cortale-Dunn

ROCKY MOUNT – Theodosia I. Cortale-Dunn, age 75, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Parrish, II, and Evella Cooper Parrish. Theodosia was an English Teacher from Springfield Gardens High School, and she was an avid reader. She was Baptized in 1995 and was a lady of great faith. Theodosia and her husband moved to Rocky Mount in 2014. Her and her husband loved to travel where they enjoyed visiting New Orleans, Las Vegas, Barbados, Niagara Fall and going on cruise’s but she also loved to visit her husband’s home country in Jamaica. She touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered with love and kindness. Theodosia is survived by her husband of 28 years Paul Ivor Dunn; her sister, Frances Dicks of Charlotte, NC; brother, Thomas Parrish, III, of Hollister, NC and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 S. Circle Drive Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Pastor Nate Whitman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Englewood United Methodist Church.
