Timothy "Timmy" Scott Griffin

ROCKY MOUNT – Timothy “Timmy” Scott Griffin, age 53, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on February 26, 1969, he was the son of Jean West Bryant and the late Sidney Morris Griffin.Timmy loved being outdoors. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing in his down time. He was a family man, and extremely proud of his children, and grandchildren. He loved nothing better than spending time with all his family, especially his mother. Timmy will be dearly missed, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten as he was everything to his family.Timmy is survived by his mother, Jean West Bryant; his daughter, Misty Griffin; his son, Andrew Sherrod; his grandson, Hunter Garcia; his sister, Lynda Farmer; his nieces, Brandy Farmer and Danielle Boone (Chris); his great-nieces, Traci Newcomb, Kaitlin Newcomb, and Zoey Boone; his friend Penny Mclain; and his friend and father figure, Steve Mclain.A Special Gathering to celebrate Timmy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Parlor of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
