SPRING HOPE – Tommy Wayne Crumpler, age 88, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on August 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Jet Crumpler and Myrtle Moss Crumpler. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Alice Crumpler; three brothers, Harold Crumpler, Watson Crumpler and Warren Crumpler.
Tommy was the owner and operator of The Country Inn Restaurant that served the Spring Hope Community for over 21 years. He was also an active member of the Shrine Club and Masonic Lodge. But what Tommy love most was traveling with his wife with including trips to Austin, TX to see his son, to the Grand Canyon, Alaska, and cruises to the Bahamas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susie Parker Crumpler; his daughter, Belinda Kay Rouse (Tim) of Fountain, NC, son; Wayne Crumpler of Farmville, NC, step-daughter; Carol Temple (Tom) of Deep Gap, NC, and step-son; Lee Newcomb (Shannon) of Clayton, NC, grandchildren; Heath, Lauren, Ginsey, Corwin, TC and Samantha, great-children; Imaza, Dylan and Alex, nieces; Terry Crumpler, Dale Leemhuis, Nephew; Jut Crumpler, dogs; Cotton Ball “Little man”, Jack and Ginger.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at. Rocky Mount Memorial Park 4454 Dortches Blvd. Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
