Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Von for about 5 years. She was the kindest and most sincere person I have ever met. She was hilarious and never missed a beat–and could tell you like it is. I have so many wonderful memories of her…..of her dancing with kids full of energy, leaving her lipstick marks on coffee & sweet tea cups that she would leave in the classroom while giving breaks, her love of family especially her granddaughter Merissa, her genuine love of children of all ages, and her contagious laugh that could fill up any room. During the years that I worked with her, every day before she would go home, she would sit at a table and reapply her lipstick to make sure she looked good when she got home for her husband. She will always be remembered as a dear friend. She was the kind of person that on your worst day–she was there. She was that hug you needed and her presence was assurance that everything was going to turn out okay. Mrs. Von, you are one of a kind–God knew what He was doing when he made you. Sending my thoughts and prayers…3 3 3 3

  5. Im so sorry to hear about Vonnes passing. I had the pleasure of working with her at First Baptist Church Child Care. She always cast a bright light wherever that she went. She had such a great sense of humor and a realistically funny way to see through the testing issues in live. She had such a loving personality, children and adults were drawn to her. I will rememeber her smiling face and gentle spirit forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

  6. My condolences to the family. I worked with Mrs. Von at First Baptist Church, the shinning star of the facility. The most up beat woman I had crossed paths with and much spunk. Mrs. Von had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. A true definition of a Godly woman. She will most definitely be missed. Rest In Paradise…my dear friend!

  7. Priscilla, Robin, Samuel i worked with your mom in the early nineties before I left First Baptist Daycare in 94. We have many fond memories of wirking together. Many laughs. I was so sad to heR of her passing. I will keep you all in my prayers
